Purple Kale and Bok choy

We saw the most beautiful purple kale at the store, of course because I shop with my eyes, we bought some. It is so purple! The taste is not that great, but I threw it in a salad last night for dinner. Today I chopped it thinly along with some bokchoy, mushrooms, and onions and sauteed it in oil. Super yummy!

Handful of purple kale, thinly sliced

1/3 bunch of bokchoy, sliced

3 or 4 mushrooms, washed and roughly chopped

1/4 onion, chopped

salt

pepper

garlic powder

Heat about 1 T. olive oil over medium heat in a skillet. Saute all veggies and season, Enjoy!

New and exciting fruits!

It's been too long since I've updated and I'm getting the urge to start up again. We've been trying to explore new fruits and vegetables lately. So this past week we picked up a star fruit and a melano fruit. We've had star fruit before, I love it! the taste is so refreshing and cool. The melano, or horned fruit, was quite different. The outside is spiky and the inside is indescribable. IT's like jello and a pomegranate mixed together. It was rather pricy at $3.99, but totally worth the experience!
